Freedom Holding Corp. to allocate 1 billion KZT to help flood victims

The funds will be transferred from the special charitable fund «Freedom Shapaghat» (a subsidiary of Freedom Holding Corp.) to the account of the corporate fund «Demeu Kazakhstan Kory».

At the moment, Kazakhstan’s regions are struggling with spring floods. Their scale has already exceeded that of 2012 and 2017, considered the biggest in the past 30 years. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the situation remains difficult in Aktobe, West Kazakhstan and Kostanay regions. Five regions remain in the waterlogged zone, with akimats declaring 20 local emergencies.
