Freedom Bank Kazakhstan Interested in Expanding Financing for the Agricultural Sector

Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Aidarbek Saparov met with Timur Turlov, the majority shareholder and CEO of Freedom Holding Corp.

During the meeting, they discussed key issues related to financing the agro-industrial sector, including agribusiness lending, agricultural insurance, and the adoption of digital solutions in agriculture.

Timur Turlov expressed the holding’s interest in actively participating in the implementation of state policies to support the agro-industrial sector, including through the existing agricultural insurance program in which Freedom Finance Insurance is involved.

The discussion also highlighted the potential for providing preferential long-term loans to domestic agricultural producers, as well as developing a digital platform for the distribution of agricultural products. The platform would connect retail chains and farms, offering convenient and transparent access to markets.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to continue working together on key initiatives to support the agricultural sector, with a focus on sustainable financing, digitalization, and the development of agri-food market infrastructure.
