Timur Turlov Awarded the “Parasat” Order on Behalf of the President of Kazakhstan

The founder and CEO of Freedom Holding Corp., Timur Turlov, has been awarded a state decoration on behalf of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The Parasat Order is conferred for contributions to the country’s socio-economic development.

The award was presented to Timur Turlov by the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Olzhas Bektenov. The Parasat Order (Order of Nobility) is awarded to figures in science and culture, literature and the arts, as well as to public and state figures and citizens who have made a significant contribution to the development of the country’s spiritual and intellectual potential, or for active efforts in protecting human rights and interests. This year, in addition to Timur Turlov, the award was also given to Minister of Justice Yerlan Sarsembayev, Chairman of the Management Board of NC KazMunayGas JSC Askhat Khassenov, Chairman of the Management Board of NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC Talgat Aldybergenov, and First Vice Minister of Culture and Information Kanat Iskakov.

While presenting the awards, Olzhas Bektenov noted that a nationwide referendum was held in Kazakhstan on March 15, following which a new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan was adopted.

“The Head of State has repeatedly emphasized that the purpose of reforms lies not in formal changes, but in improving the quality of life of citizens, strengthening justice and public trust in the state. Under the new conditions, coordinated efforts between the public administration and the business sector are especially important. Only through such cooperation can sustainable progress of reforms and their tangible impact for society be ensured,” the Prime Minister said.

Timur Turlov also took part in voting in the referendum, which he shared on his Instagram. The head of the holding noted that both the President of Kazakhstan and the government have made digitalization a priority of state policy, opening up significant new opportunities for the country.

“Today, on the great and bright holiday of Oraza Ait, I was honored with a state award – the Parasat Order. Receiving awards is always a pleasure. It is a recognition of one’s work, effort, and dedication; it is a sign of trust and support from our President. It is also, of course, a reminder to oneself that all decisions and actions were right, that they have benefited people and made your home better, more beautiful, and safer.

You know, I am simply glad that we live in such an incredibly exciting time, and specifically in Kazakhstan. In a country that is not afraid to change, where you are surrounded by incredibly talented and ambitious people, where there are fantastic conditions for realizing and building truly large-scale projects. And the new Constitution only strengthens these feelings. The state is maturing, taking on new responsibilities, setting new frameworks, and this will ultimately open even greater horizons for all of us,” Timur Turlov said after the award ceremony.

The Parasat Order is not the first state award received by the head of Freedom Holding Corp. In October 2024, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov awarded Timur Turlov the Kurmet Order. The award is presented on behalf of the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and the ceremony took place ahead of Republic Day. The orders were awarded to individuals for their contribution to the country’s socio-economic and cultural development.
