Timur Turlov, the owner of Freedom Finance, is building an academy in Karaganda
Timur Turlov, a shareholder of Freedom Holding Corp., Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Freedom QJ League, plans to build a modern academy in Karaganda, GOAL KZ reports. The company confirmed the plans, noting that the project will be fully self-funded.
As part of the academy’s project, it is planned to build a year-round arena, a 5,000-seat stadium and a training field with heating and lighting, a boarding school for 80-100 people (for boys and girls), a fitness room, recovery facilities (including medical), and teaching rooms. The stadium will be fully functional for children’s, youth and reserve teams.
In general, the league, supported by Timur Turlov, founder of Freedom Holding Corp, is actively implementing digital solutions. In 2024, the FF Manager platform was launched, which has already received 11 international awards. In addition, smart cameras and a video analytics system will be introduced this season to help coaches and players analyze matches.
Two new projects are also being launched — «Player of the Future» and «Coach of the Future». Their goal is to help promising football players and specialists unlock their potential.
«We are building the foundation for the future of Kazakhstani football. It is important not only to train athletes, but also to educate competent specialists,» Timur Turlov, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Freedom QJL, said at the meeting.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that Timur Turlov, the founder and majority shareholder of Freedom Finance, rose to 605th place in the Forbes ranking of the richest people in the world in 2025 with a fortune of $5.8 billion. A year earlier, he was ranked 991st in the world ranking with $3.3 billion.
The holding company includes Freedom Finance JSC, Freedom Bank, Freedom Finance Insurance company, Freedom Life life insurance company. Freedom Mobile, Freedom Drive, Ticketon, Aviata and others are also developing in the ecosystem.
In the third quarter of fiscal year 2025 (fourth quarter of calendar year 2024) Freedom Holding Corp. generated revenue of $236.6 million. This is 57% more than in the previous year. Freedom Holding Corp.’s (FHC) net profit was $78.1 million. Earnings per share were $1.32. The holding’s assets increased from $8.3 billion to $9.14 billion (+10%). The number of brokerage client accounts of the holding as of December 31, 2024 amounted to 618,000 , which is 63 thousand more than a quarter earlier.
